The Summit of His Sorrow (3/17/19)

Posted on March 17, 2019March 15, 2019 by Millicent
The Summit of His Sorrow (3/17/19)

Nothing, not even rose or basil had helped me.

I said to myself, “Be silent. His bow doesn’t match my shield.”

Then, I was shot from that bow like a three-winged arrow.

Even so, I reached the summit of His sorrow without the help of those three wings!

Words’ Ship (3/3/19)

Words’ Ship (3/3/19)

You have said so many times, “I have given up words. I prefer silence.”

Yet, you turn around words, so much so that you have turned into talk.

You sail with words’ ship on the sea of thought,

that sea which you have not renounced and which words’ ship never will.

The Beyond (2/17/19)

The Beyond (2/17/19)

Some people tell stories about the Beyond.

Some expect help from the Beyond.

Souls keep running out of bodies secretly,

looking for the Beyond.

Slave and Servant (2/3/19)

Slave and Servant (2/3/19)

I am drunk with the wine that Love has engraved on His glass.

I ride a horse. Its reins are Love.

Falling in Love with my moon-faced Beloved is great,

but I am a slave and servant to the One who made Love a slave-servant to Him.

Your Sun (1/20/19)

Your Sun (1/20/19)

My God, the thing this poor soul wants from You

is something for which not even sultans would dare ask.

Every particle is happy in the sunshine, but every one of them is still distant from Your sun.

And, this penniless beggar wants to have Your sun.

Then, the Only Beauty…Will Be Yours

As long as a beauty appears in a shape, a form,

there will always be another beauty with a better shape, a better form.

This shaped beauty cannot be my Beloved.

Get rid of forms from your heart.

Then, the only Beauty which has no form or shape will be yours.

Majesty, Majesty, Majesty (12/23/18)

Posted on December 23, 2018December 21, 2018 by Millicent
Majesty, Majesty, Majesty (12/23/18)

Love is completion, completion, completion.

The self is imagination, imagination, imagination.

This divine light is majesty, majesty, majesty.

Today is the Day of Union, Union, Union!

For Whom Are You Searching? (12/9/18)

For Whom Are You Searching? (12/9/18)

Sometimes you get tired of living with His sorrow and reject life.

Sometimes you tell His story with the troubles in your heart.

Why are you dizzily turning around the world?

He is not outside of you. For whom are you searching?

Love’s Murmur (11/25/18)

Posted on November 25, 2018November 23, 2018 by Millicent
Love’s Murmur (11/25/18)

There is nothing remaining in my ears but Love’s murmur.

There is nothing remaining in my soul –no reason, no thought– only the sweetness of Eternity.

The colorless brush of Love has blended all colors.

Still, the state of no-color remains.

Just Empty Words (11/11/18)

Just Empty Words (11/11/18)

On the way to Love, each lover must either annihilate himself

or give up his life in death.

Some say,

“Love’s goal is to drink water from the Fountain of Life.”

These are just empty words, O lover, just empty words.
